Elspeth Tilley

Dr. Tilley’s transdisciplinary research creatively and critically explores art’s influences on public discourse and cultural change. She is an award-winning playwright specializing in works that address environmental and social justice crises. Concurrently her critical research investigates the ethics and appropriateness of methodologies for implementing and evaluating artistic activism, including the impacts of colonialism on how we understand artistic value. Elspeth is Professor of Creative Communication at Massey University, New Zealand.
