Participation
Participation in the AARC occurs at different levels and instances, employing various forms of engagement. In its first phase, the AARC includes a Steering Committee, a community of artistic activism Research Associates (researchers and artists engaged in producing knowledge), and a series of Working Groups.
Community
Everyone interested in the CoLab is part of the Community. Community Members are interested in participating in CoLab activities and using the resources and data its programs generate. They become Community Members by subscribing to our Newsletter.
In the next phase of the AARC (end of 2023), Community Members can send proposals to participate in the Program of Online Presentations and become Research Associates if interested.
Research Associates
Formed by a diverse group of people — including academics, students, activists, and artists — the CoLab gathers researchers who are members of the Community and come from different regions, disciplines, and research interests. The AARC shares the work of Research Associates, promotes exchange among Associates, and fosters collaboration.
Working Groups
The CoLab’s Working Groups serve to gather Research Associates interested in developing a project or developing a thematic or sub-theme approach. The groups may create working papers and other public-facing projects in various formats.
Steering Committee
It is composed of a group of Research Associates with diverse geographic, cultural, and professional backgrounds. The Steering Committee determines the direction of the AARC and oversees the CoLab’s objectives and general operations, the Program of Online Presentations, and the Working Group program.
