Recognized internationally as an expert in the power of art to transform the world, her research creatively and analytically explores art’s ability to build community, create dialogue, and shift culture.

Dr. Tilley is also an award-winning playwright and a passionate researcher in artistic activism. Having witnessed how art can change hearts and minds as a teenager, she now specializes in works that address environmental and social justice crises. Her plays have been published in the U.S., UK, Canada, and New Zealand and performed worldwide.
